Do you have clarity in what it is you really want?
What exactly does it mean to follow your bliss? We’ve all heard that in order to be successful at something we must be passionate about it. Is it possible to make yourself passionate about something in order to be happy?
To follow your bliss or passion basically means to follow your excitement. These are emotional feelings, not what you think is logically the right thing to do. In other words, to follow your bliss means to follow your emotions that make you feel great! And since they are of such high energy, they have strong attracting power.
The following exercise is a great way to figure out what your true passion is.
Imagine that you already have everything you need and want right now. Yes, right now. You have vibrant health and have an unlimited supply of money and resources. You have traveled everywhere you’ve wanted to go and experienced all the adventures of life you’ve wanted. The relationships you want, the house, the luxuries, the friends, the lifestyle…it’s all there. You have it all!
So, now what? What are you doing with your time? What are you doing with your life? What do you love doing so much you would virtually do it for free? Seriously! Do you have a clear answer? Did you have to think about it for a while or did it come to you right away?
Here’s some food for thought:

Average people believe that successful people enjoy what they do because they are successful at it. However, interviews and surveys proved that it was the exact opposite that was true. People become successful because they are passionate about what they do.
Their burning desire fuels them with the belief and courage they need to persist through the adversities that would make most people quit.
That’s a key point. Are you passionate, (or crazy enough), to get through the tough times?
Were you ever told that you have to focus on developing your weaknesses? Studies have proven this to be a complete waste of time! We must focus on utilizing and honing our inherent talents. Now it’s not an excuse to stop improving yourself in areas you’re not good in. It means that your focus should be on further developing your strengths.
So focus on doing the things you are naturally good at and love to do, and leverage the things you’re not good at.
When you’re passionate about something and aligned with your true heart’s desires, you utilize your core strengths. These are your innate skills or natural talents – your gifts. These gifts are aligned with your life purpose. Identifying these gifts and passions puts you on the path of fulfillment and inner peace. Nothing else will give you that deep sense of happiness.
Clarity is Key. One, (of many), great books I highly suggest you get is THE PASSION TEST. I’ve read it a couple times. It’s perhaps the best book I know of to filter your true passions.
One thing I love about books is that for the price of a good meal, you can totally change your life. It’s a best seller for a reason!
