Do you ever catch yourself talking to yourself? Maybe not out-loud, (hopefully). But did you know that we talk to ourselves up to 60,000 times a day!
That’s not the shocking part. Did you know that up to 80% of our internal dialogue is negative, or unsupportive self-talk?
If you understand the basic concept of a computer, you know that information or data has to be programmed into the computer in order to process information.
How good of computer do you think you’ll have if 80% of it’s programming is wrong?!
Our brains and subconscious minds work in a similar way. We have years of conditioning, or programming, which makes up our beliefs. Some of those beliefs support us, and some definitely don’t.
Whether you realize it or not, those beliefs dictate our entire lives.

The challenge is that most of our programming is unconscious. That is, without knowing it, we hold beliefs that actually block us from of our desires. While we may think it’s other people, outside conditions, or circumstances that are in the way of our desires, more often than not, the root of the problems actually exist deep within our own psyche.
Those unsupportive beliefs are the real cause of our struggles. Our beliefs are made up of the things we’ve heard, things we saw, and things we experienced. But most of us don’t think about those things, because we don’t know to think about them… until now.
So how do you consciously change unconscious beliefs? By intentionally reprogramming our minds!
Programming creates Beliefs
Beliefs create Attitudes
Attitudes create Feelings
Feelings determine Actions
Actions create Results
Everyone has heard that in order to get different results we must take different actions. Because Actions create Results. However, there is a fundamental flaw in that method.
How many times have you tried to create change by actions alone, only to eventually find yourself back where you started? How many New Year’s resolutions, fitness and exercise promises, intentions for career development, etc.? I’ve been there and back many times, before learning how to permanently “reprogram” my mind.
The only way to create permanent change is to work at the root cause of our beliefs and re-program our “mental computers”.
Remember, up to 80% of our inner dialog is negative! What kind of “programming” do you want in YOUR mental computer?
One of the best ways to recondition our minds is to change the way we talk to ourselves.
