Time Flies!

Yup! It’s been a couple months since I’ve written in here. Spent last Thanksgiving in Vancouver… then 5 weeks in Cancun, Mexico… then 2 weeks back in Vancouver for Christmas/New Years… then off to Los Angeles for a month. Next thing I know, it’s mid February already! Time flies!

An old high school teacher of mine said it best. Time goes by faster as we get older because it’s relevant to our age. Think about it… when you’re 5, a year seems like forever.  It’s one fifth of your whole life! When you’re 10, a year is a tenth of your life. You just can’t wait for summer vacation! As you get into your 30′s, a year becomes smaller fractions of your life. So yeah, the years fly by as we get older.

I saw a bunch of college students yesterday and realized they look so young! But it’s not like they’ve gotten younger, right? College students are always the same age. Then it hit me… I’ve gotten older! …Remember that line from the movie Dazed and Confused, “I love high school girls. I get older, they stay the same age!”

I’m reminded of the common “condition” of being too busy for your dreams. Another year goes by… what happened? Enjoyed the freedom to travel every few months, did a couple tv shows and a big movie, participated in the UN’s COP16 Conference, and a bunch of little details. Have I achieved anything on my Bucket List? Well for starters, I worked with Michael Bay on Transformers 3, enjoyed an all expense paid working holiday in the Mexican Caribbean, and became an uncle. A few humble highlights of the year.

So what’s in store for 2011?  More travel, more business opportunities, more stunt work, more activism..? You bet! Ooops gotta go!
